Bluefy lets you connect an iPhone or iPad to compatible Bluetooth Low Energy devices directly from a web page. You don't need to install a separate app for each device — the connection and available controls are provided through a Web Bluetooth‑enabled website.
To connect a Bluetooth device using Bluefy:
Open your device settings and make sure Bluetooth is enabled.
Keep the device powered on, discoverable, and close to your smartphone or tablet.
Download and launch the Bluefy Web BLE Browser on your iPhone or iPad.
Enter the address of the Web Bluetooth page provided by the device manufacturer or service provider. The website must use a secure HTTPS connection.
The button may also be called Connect device, Pair, Add device, or something similar, depending on the service provider.
Choose the correct device from the list of nearby Bluetooth devices displayed by Bluefy.
Wait until the website shows that the device is connected. You can then view its data and use the controls available on the page.
Enable Bluetooth, turn on the BLE device, open its compatible website in Bluefy, tap Connect, and select the device.
Once the connection is established, Bluefy allows the website to exchange data with the BLE device. The exact controls depend on the device and the Web Bluetooth application you open. Depending on the connected product, you may be able to:
Bluefy provides the secure Bluetooth connection, while the device's website determines which functions are available.
Usually, no. A compatible BLE device is selected from the connection window opened by the Web Bluetooth website inside Bluefy. If the device manufacturer requires conventional Bluetooth pairing, follow the instructions supplied with the device before connecting through Bluefy.
If Bluefy cannot find your device, check the following:
Try turning the device off and on, reopening the Web Bluetooth page, and tapping Connect again.
Bluefy establishes communication between the browser and a compatible BLE device, but it doesn't create the device interface itself. Controls, settings, and data must be implemented by the Web Bluetooth website. If the device connects but no controls appear:
Bluefy can connect to compatible Bluetooth Low Energy devices that support Bluetooth 4.0 or later and have a corresponding Web Bluetooth‑enabled website. Compatibility depends on both the device and the web application.
No. The device must use Bluetooth Low Energy and be supported by the website opened in Bluefy. Traditional Bluetooth devices that don't provide compatible BLE services may not work.
Yes. When the website supports the Web Bluetooth API, Bluefy can connect it to a nearby BLE device and provide access to the controls implemented by the website.
Available settings depend on the device. Common options include operating modes, sensor thresholds, temperature, speed, power, lighting, schedules, alerts, calibration, and other device‑specific parameters.
Yes. Web Bluetooth functionality should be provided through a secure HTTPS connection.
Bluefy provides the connection between the website and the BLE device. Whether settings are stored on the device, in the browser, or by an online service depends on how the website and device are designed.
This depends on the Web Bluetooth application. Some websites support only one active device, while others can manage multiple devices.
Bluefy is available for iPhone and iPad through the Apple App Store.
